My educated guess is that there is a lot of sealant material there for the gas mix to denigrate and get access to. Probably such a slow process that it's not a consideration with the folks that use modern sealants and delete the base gasket. Kevin

Depends who you talk to.....some like the 930 Super best for the series, some like the free revving of the 910 best. I know a couple of old loggers like myself that had all three and favored the 910 best. When you see the promotional pictures of 'Denny', the PNW logger in the vintage Jonsereds...

Yes, it's certainly subjective. Having not started out with decomps, they don't excite me. Like you, except for the J'reds 90 I mentioned(and why), I leave them unless they are causing trouble. Do I use them...nah. Kevin
