You can add a muffler bracket if needed from a 353/346 with a lil modificationI found this little 50 in the scrap the other day, top end toast. Added a 55 top end , carb, and air filter box and choke pull. New cylinder came in with .074 squish with no base gasket. 102* exhaust, 20* BD, 132*intake duration. So I cut .048 off base ,ported exhaust and touched up intake. Also had to repair pulse passage from cutting so much off base. Nice little muffle mod. Wound up with .028 squish , 102 exhaust, 27 BD, 144 total intake. I was really surprised how small the transfers were on the 50 compared to the 55. This is a sweet running little saw and is one of my favorites now.
Need to finish this super xl it keeps getting pushed back by other saws.... this was a fun experiment porting a Hitachi handheld blower, it gained a lot but will be interesting to see if it lasts long. I had to use a zama carb off a small parts saw cause the original didn't cut it anymore lollove a reed saw....my little Super EZ is one of my favs.
