Any ignition timing advance? How well does your air filter flow? How open is your muffler?

No timing advance. Air cleaner is good and muffler is 75% She’s got tons of torque running 36” full comp full chisel. Tossed an 8 pin on it today to see how I like that.

Got the issue with the 660 figured out. Base gasket was leaking. I remember when I was doing the initial tune I kept having to give it more low as I was working the saw. Opposite the norm. Ended up at 3.5 turns out on the low 😳
Low was giving it so much fuel the high couldn’t go lean enough till it sucked air

Fixed that all up and re-tuned. Wow way different lol and she likes the 8 pin and 36” and peak is right where I like it. I’ll try to get some video of it today.

Finally got around to working more on the 395xp. Here, I'm working on making a nylon rod the right size to fit in the cylinder so I can cut the base. Nylon likes to make one continuous string, and stopping and starting the cut can cause the string to not leave the cutter properly, so I experimented with using a razor blade to make a cut down the rod to break the string every turn. It seems to work for the most part.

Ported 352 34cc. I went back to the smaller carb as I needed it for work today, and have to figure out the fuel line kink issue with the big carb. It likes cutting around 9-10,000rpm

Its got some top end no doubt. But how is the tq? Would it rip thru that if it was oak or elm or some hardwood that isn't punky like that pine.. I'm guessing it would do much better than I imagine
