no spark coil and spark plug changed 2 times

Only one wire from switch needs disconnected- eliminates a faulty switch. If you have replaced all major components properly- flywheel, coil and spark plug- with genuine new products from a Husqvarna agent- then if you have not seriously goofed something in assembly- how can it not spark? Maybe...

no spark coil and spark plug changed 2 times

Without doing the math- guessing 8 thou is close to 0.3mm. Right so if you say all is correct mechanically- only thing it can be is a fault in the wiring system. Damaged HT wire or connection inside the boot from coil to plug, or permanent to ground on the kill switch circuit.

no spark coil and spark plug changed 2 times

Yes the engine turns over- but is it turning over by the starter unit- or is the flywheel spinning on the crankshaft? Is my query. Trying to eliminate a shorn flywheel key/loose retaining nut. With all the coil swapping that has gone on- what is the air gap set at? Where did the replacement...

no spark coil and spark plug changed 2 times

Are you sure the starter is engaging the flywheel and actually turning the engine over? What happens if you put a drill on the flywheel nut and check for spark? Can you turn the flywheel WITHOUT turning over the engine? Chainsaws do not just out of the blue stall- it did so for a reason.

    Stihl MS 162

If it is a new saw- take it back, its under warranty. If bought at a dealer- ask for instruction on how to cold start it. They have a soft start recoil don't they- are you using it correctly? Are you using the choke for two rope pulls, choke off and pull the rope? It came with an instruction...

    Nut Job - Husqvarna 440

Okay, if your chain is that kapoodled that tightening the clutch cover caused it to bind- I would be looking pretty seriously at the drive sprocket or spur and the bar itself. If they are major worn, the new chain will chop out in no time. Oh and a split lock washer? Will chew out the alloy...

    Nut Job - Husqvarna 440

So anyhow- have you recently replaced the chain- the bar- or both?

    Question About A New Chain...

In my way of thinking, pretty normal and once run a bit, you might find it settles into a more conforming shape. Put your old chain back on and see what the gap looks like- nose sprockets wear and need replaced once in a while- but that one looks pretty new. The nose sprocket and drive sprocket...

    Nut Job - Husqvarna 440

Have you recently replaced the chain- the bar- or both? If all ducks are in a row, the nut must be reasonably tight to do its job- not that tight that it pulls the stud from the case- but not loose either. If tightening the nut is binding the chain- something is not correct in there- like a...

    No start -- Flywheel magnets?

291's are a temperamental kind of saw- I would be pressure and vacuum testing as a matter of course if it is hard to start/wont start.

    No start -- Flywheel magnets?

No, you should not. The second pair of unmarked "magnets" are counterweights- they mimic the weight of the actual magnets that cause the coil to fire to keep the flywheel balanced as it rotates at huge speeds. They act a little like the lead balancing weights added to your vehicle wheel rims to...

    Jonsereds 910E

910E I bought around 6 weeks ago, way up in our other Island- got a buddy to pick it up and send it down- arrived yesterday. Basically all there, few wee minor glitches- wiring to spark plug coil trigger is a mess, muffler rusted and been brazed before, missing filter cover nut, cracks in filter...

    Help with 661

Best Bubba guess ( I do not do a lot of mtronic stuff), bad connections in the electrical system- especially the solenoid on the carb and the white connector above it. Could be a faulty solenoid- but then it would be a fuel related issue. I know some of the mtronic saws if the coil does not...

    Jonsereds 80

Only part really missing was the one lower bolt for the front of the rear handle- fortunately these are the same as the hex head cap bolts found in the front of Husqvarna 2## saws- around 5mm X 50mm- so one of those and a 5mm hex nut replaced the missing one and all excess flex is removed from...

    Jonsereds 80

Have one already- but another arrived at my doorstep yesterday. They differ in slight ways, mainly around the recoil starter. Has the usual missing bits and broken bits where it comes to 1970's plastic, but is otherwise 99% complete and runs.

One mans trash is another mans treasure. Was recently gifted a good Jonsered 2055 in the same scenario- saved at the recycling centre.

    Danarm 1-71-SS

There was a version of the Frontier saw made for Dolmar that was an orangey red. Photos would determine for sure. The Frontier saws had a bolt on tank cover front of the case- covered both oil and gas tanks, sealed by a gasket and both tanks filled from the front top of the case. The gaskets...

    Danarm 1-71-SS

Frontier made the small top handle saws for Danarm out of Canada- but they were usually blue cased. They made those for just about everyone, Lil Jon, Husky 35, Dolmar, Pioneer, Skil, Sears etc. all the same design and familiar plastic (usually black) air box and carb cover. What you have could...
