The New Blue (soon in orange) G395

You can say your company adheres to 9001 standards, and not be breaking any law. The standard are not accredited by the actual people who publish the guidelines. Private companies are the ones who certify those who apply and prove they are implementing the standards, but the company can fall...

    Greetings

You picked a nice part of the world to put down the anchor. Do you get many saw issues, or whats the most broken item to come your way. Do you ever get twin bearing alternators you can sell on, the brush less type, might be interested in one at the right money, I used to find them regularly...

The New Blue (soon in orange) G395

First I heard of piston slap in a new saw, this guy measures the clearance, turns out the piston is out of spec from new, and inconsistent too. Again, not running down the saw, but this is why I go pro.

Echo CS-590 Timber Wolf vs Husqvarna 460 Rancher

Yes, I intend to wait and see what EFCO care to do for me. Hopefully I will have good news, I always like to support those competing with the big two, they are a European company too and I like to support local business where at all possible, I also like that there is no complicate tech used...

Echo CS-590 Timber Wolf vs Husqvarna 460 Rancher

For me its not so simple, I needed a saw, not one that did not work, the fact no help was forthcoming pushed me to do what I did not want to, buy another saw, and then when I finaly located a part fix the EFCO. Really not acceptable, who on earth would wait from feb past to get what should take...

Stihl 023 revs up and down at full throttle

As above, do not run until you test the case for air leaks, pressure and vacuum.

Echo CS-590 Timber Wolf vs Husqvarna 460 Rancher

Exactly Steve, but the dealer I had the misfortune to buy from I do not trust, from the instant I found zero oil residue in the tank, or fuel residue in the tank, I knew the saw was not tested before going out, my initial complaint was the saw chain would tighten and loosen as I spinned it by...

Gas Husqvarna 450 weaker than battery 80v Kobalt chainsaw. Need recommendation for better chainsaw.

Agree with the above, there has to be a better tool, like hydraulic shears, or even an electric hammer with a sharp spade like cutter. As above, a split second will dull every cutter, no amount of revving or power in a chainsaw will make up for dull cutters.

Echo CS-590 Timber Wolf vs Husqvarna 460 Rancher

I will let you know how that works out. Am sure the Irish importers will find a way around doing anything, in support of their buddy the dealer I purchased of.

    MS261 No Spark Mystery

Is your crank bearing ok, the shaft is not moving about. Is the coil earthed to the crank case, clean connection there. Is there a key in the flywheel is it ok, the wheel has not moved.

Stihl 023 revs up and down at full throttle

Not familiar with that saw. But it sounds like fuel related. Is the carb adjustable, try screwing out the H screw a quarter turn, screwing anticlockwise is out, this allows more fuel into the engine. If there is a spark screen in the saw, is it clean or all blocked up with soot, they need to...

Echo CS-590 Timber Wolf vs Husqvarna 460 Rancher

Gas Husqvarna 450 weaker than battery 80v Kobalt chainsaw. Need recommendation for better chainsaw.

Regarding what brand is good, Stihl, Husqvarna, Echo are all good. Would I put a good chainsaw into cut buried in dirt roots, no way. I would buy a brand name second hand saw, and use it to bore cut the roots after I dug the soil off the top, I would bore cut all the roots without cutting...

Gas Husqvarna 450 weaker than battery 80v Kobalt chainsaw. Need recommendation for better chainsaw.

Yes, Echo is Japanese, well made saws. Holzfforma, I only know what I read, and for me no way would I buy one. I see people using their cylinders on saws, I have yet to see two of the look the same, they are a hit or miss outfit, you could be lucky and get a saw that runs, or you could get one...

Gas Husqvarna 450 weaker than battery 80v Kobalt chainsaw. Need recommendation for better chainsaw.

Here is the 590 's bigger brother, same size and weight, just more power, a metal clutch cover, metal handle, a rim drive instead of a sprocket, a different carb and the engine differs too, its more expensive than the 590, but worth it if you want the upgraded features. This guy uses an 18 inch...

Gas Husqvarna 450 weaker than battery 80v Kobalt chainsaw. Need recommendation for better chainsaw.

There are plenty of saws to chose from. Echo would be my choice, they 590 model is cheap for the power, they are a little heavy, but unless you buy a high end Stihl you won't get much that is lighter and has good power. You probably do not need a long bar, so 18 inch will work well, less teeth...

Gas Husqvarna 450 weaker than battery 80v Kobalt chainsaw. Need recommendation for better chainsaw.

Better to use the Kw figures they state, but torque is also a great indicator, some of them make it very difficult to find the torque rating of their engines, for good reason, some are re a lot better than others. Even so, a Husqvarna 450 should have enough power to cut roots, people are using...
