I ran these clam shell saws in the 90s
Excellent performance equal
To any 60cc husky
But were dubbed alpenis
Locally because the coils failed
After a short time.
I always wanted the 70cc 700 professional
Very strong saws for the time.
My friend the only dealer in many states could only order
Replacement Parts once per year
So they could be shipped over.

Attending a thresheree as an exhibitor this weekend, and I brought a couple old saws to display and run. I have always been into the hit-and-miss engines and have several, but I am surprised by the amount of spectators that want to talk about my old chainsaws. This is my Mcculloch 250 in an old piece of ash.

These are 3120+ hotsaws are built by Cliff Helsel in MI. Just not anyone can get a saw from him. Alot ask and get turned down by him.

Good to know he told me I can get another if I ever want to get back into racing saws again. But I'll never do that, To slow of operator.

Hat he made using pics of my saw. Also shirts, jackets, sweaters etc.

He wanted it to go to a veteran
So I rebuilt it last spring
And gave it to my neighbor
Paul he's 90
And a Korean war vet.
Since last spring he's on his second bar and third chain
And I had to replace both oil and fuel caps
He cuts fence line nearly every day.
