My guess- too long!Not my saw, a fellow saw was working on. Stihl ms171 minus dirt in 1 pictue he melted the case around the brake band,melted the worm gear for the oil pump, stretched out the clutch springs, and melted the bearing cage for the clutch bearing. He couldn't remember how long it was idling for with the chain brake on
Likely on purpose knowing how frustrating those 540s are.Crushed by the excavator I’m told
