Bar got pinched, and the operator tugged too hard to get it loose. Use wedges or another saw to free it!!

I guess you have to know The saws limits when porting and polishing if its done to two strokes

Not my saw, a fellow saw was working on. Stihl ms171 minus dirt in 1 pictue he melted the case around the brake band,melted the worm gear for the oil pump, stretched out the clutch springs, and melted the bearing cage for the clutch bearing. He couldn't remember how long it was idling for with the chain brake on

My guess- too long! ;)
