I have been given an older model 024av as a non starter and have identified that fuel isn't getting to the carburettor. I would just like confirmation on which fuel filter model (Stihl genuine part number) is the correct one as I am getting mixed answers from my google searches. I think I've got the correct fuel and impulse lines but if you can confirm those as well I'd be appreciative. Any other things you think I should replace as it has barely been used but left stagnant with fuel in for a couple years. Thanks.

Single bar stud 024?
The early straight short fuel line- #11213587705 I do not think is available any more- so the easy way out is to replace with the later S shaped 026/260 one #11213587700.
However- the new fuel line has a larger grommet sealing the top of the tank- so the hole needs enlarged in the tank to 12mm from 9mm.
Easiest to do with a small step drill bit, with the tank in place and turned by hand tools not a drill as you cannot get a straight shot at the hole because of the airbox configuration.

Same with the fuel filter- use one for an 026/260 or 241/261 any filter that fits the line and stays there will work just fine- does not need to be model specific.

Stihl sell impulse line (3mm internal) in meter lengths from memory- but any correct internal diameter line can be used- a lot of people use Echo fuel lines.

Check the main crank oil seals- know to be needing replacement in these as a rule- first place you go on an old 024 is the crank seals.
Remove the muffler and check the piston for scoring- could be you are fixing parts for something that needs a lot more.
