Got the issue with the 660 figured out. Base gasket was leaking. I remember when I was doing the initial tune I kept having to give it more low as I was working the saw. Opposite the norm. Ended up at 3.5 turns out on the low 😳
Low was giving it so much fuel the high couldn’t go lean enough...
No timing advance. Air cleaner is good and muffler is 75% She’s got tons of torque running 36” full comp full chisel. Tossed an 8 pin on it today to see how I like that.
Intake is at 80. Hyway cylinder with pop up
Checked all my cylinders with this case and crank. All were 98 on exhaust and 80-81 on intake. Will have to check my notes on the blow down
So far all I’ve done was polish and widen exhaust port and transfer shaping how I like.
Have not run it...
I’d love to hear some tips on doing a 660. One saw I have the least experience with. Stock numbers seem strange to me. High exhaust roof and long intake already. Seem pretty different from the 90cc saws I’ve worked with. My 660 builds have tons of torque but just don’t seem to get the speed I...
I don’t run the out wears myself. Never any trouble. Intake side of piston and cylinder are still perfect. Guess time will tell. You know they move air well when the carb whistles lol. Almost sounds like my 2094 is turbo’ed 😂 been thinking about porting the carb as well and see how she likes it
