Nobody cares that you can by a new 592 for same cost basically. Guys that buy the new 288's 1201's 7900 372 OE do it because thats what they want. If you want a 592 585 put your 1300 out and buy one. Some folks want old school new stuff you cant buy in US anymore. Not new stuff anyone can buy...

Plus that plane shipping is around $140-$170 now for the Big saws. Last 2 I had shipped. Folks forget that you include the shipping cost in prices.

That can be welded no problem. Find a good welder. I had to have one done on a partner 5000 once. Was like new and couldnt hardly tell it after he was done with it.

JMO 290 for little power they are stock you might want to stay with the 325 20" they come with. Talking hardwood cutting. Stihl only suggest 16" to 20" on 290 30min muffler mod on those will gain you 18%-21% alone with carb tuning afterwords. Want to run a longer bar on them IMO stick a 390...

Might just be me. But comparing weights and you can run the 241 b+c set up on a 261 too, if wanting to save a few ounces there. 261 is a 2 for 1. Trim and can be used on more. If it got to be a stihl. If I bought a small saw today. Echo 501 or cheaper vesrsion with same motor echo 4910...

I opened those 5/32 325 smaller cutters using 3/16 a few times. Me likey and a guy I did his for did too.

For others not OP since right on the box. Pay attention to what 325 chain you have. Most modern 325 use 3/16. I have some 325 that use the 5/32 file. File used on picco 3/8LP

Much better. Knew where to go look. Didnt break the AV socket thank goodness for owner. Even tried some redneck fixing for the cracked af cover. Runs like new again too.
