Dont collect. I rebuild, use and sale them off. Just a chainsaw to me and replaceable.
Most of the ones I sold off went to collectors or firewood cutters.
Some times I even had fun with them. Wild thing 505 done back in 2013. Also done a green set with green decal.
Now in a...
They do use alot of 2 sereis parts. So always compare to those. Since they were made in the husky plant.
Started out Partner then partner jonsered got moved together, then they both got moved over to husky. So Partner design with influence of other 2 too.

JMO if looking for new. Look at Echo's line up. Still regular carbs etc. 50cc look at 4910. Bigger look at 590. Be all you need. But for around 150 more you can get the 620.
Just the little 490 before the 4910. Echo's need a muffler mod.
590 I took in and redid.
Lot better then...

Right now redneck fix still holding. Fly nut had to be cut off. Pic before work started.
Mine came in like that on a trade. Started scoring on P+C. To lean from factory. Saw ran fine. You would not even know it was happening running it till it is too late someday. I just pulled it down to muffler mod is how I found it.
Just be sure to check your tune. Your dealer should be...
Just a quick 30min muffler mod and carb retune they wake a bit on 590. Split the deflector in half. Toss inner. Just add a hole behind tube. Saves alot of time over removing tube.
Also I noticed some 590 come very lean from factory, Check that.
One I got from a owner had started to score...
