It is a k041 mount, you can slightly modify a k095 mount bar and they fit and work fine. Hope this helps.

Nice work Evan, glad to see you made it here. You are a wealth of knowledge on at least 2 subjects that I know of😂

Small cc example, but a good one. Flat topped the piston, cut the chamber, decked cylinder, ported. Has one ring, that is original to the saw. Has zero runtime after work.

Definitely understand buddy. Like I said earlier though, I'm here should you need any machining services. Kind of a specialty thing that most machine shops won't mess with.

Check it if you like, rule of thumb is .001" per 10mm of bore size. So between .005" and .006" in your case.

One ring only for me as well, for anything besides a stocker.

    Good Morning, Afternoon, & Evening

I'll be getting some of my current ongoing projects up to speed hopefully this evening with what pictures I have. I do some unorthodox stuff so this should be interesting for everyone 😬

You should end up around .025" without the gasket. Yes it will increase the intake duration when it's dropped and lower the exhaust and transfers as well. Could polish the exhaust to keep carbon from building up on it and match the gasket/muffler to the port. And of course have a good time doing it!

If your 385 cylinder is at all salvageable, I would keep it and put a new piston in it if it's roached. They run as strong, if not stronger, than a 390 due to the port timing being excellent on them. If you do end up going the aftermarket route and need machine work done on the piston and...

I haven't gotten an opportunity to run a 400 yet but I've heard it has the torque that the 362 lacks and is a really strong runner. I can however say, the 462 is the most impressive saw I've ran in stock form. It's sassy right out of the box. Either one would be a fine choice.

Images uploading now, excellent. 6.1 MB was the largest image I tried, all others were smaller and wouldn't load due to being too large.

Thanks Kenzie. I'm going to try and do better on sharing some of my projects, they're a bit much for FB to handle most of the time lol. I'm sure you know what I mean. Not to mention those long projects need their own thread to keep things organized.

6.1 MB yeah that's a bunch of the reason I never messed with forums much, was a pain in the arse to post pictures properly through a host.

I like 102/122/78-80. Looks like it would be at pretty good numbers if it was decked down to .020" squish.
