I was reading up on how chainsaws are made too, and it led me to look into their original purpose. If you haven't seen it yet, they weren't originally made for cutting trees at all. They were actually invented by doctors back in the 1700s (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saw_chain) to cut bone during medical procedures and difficult childbirths. It's crazy to think that the massive logging tool we use today started out as a tiny, hand-cranked surgical instrument!
