Going to be a 268. Guy already has a 371 so no need for 272 plus I don’t want to change out the hatThat'll be one of them there Champion plugs?
Not the worst I have seen either, one of those wee Mac 310/320 things I fixed up a while ago for a guy that wanted his deceased Fathers saws running again, exhaust was carbon blocked 95% of the port and the saw would not run.
So, a 61- what does the manual say? 50:1 probably, someone buys the saw, saw is tuned near enough for 50:1 and decided on advice from the flat screen to run at 35-37-33 or something similar to 1 because 50:1 is no good for saws...... you read that shite all the time. So start running at the heavier oil mix and the saw is still tuned for 50:1, because most that preach the 30's:1 ratio for "modern" saws usually fail to mention the saw needs tuned to the mix it is running.
So you have some fun on your hands- not to mention black sooty hands.
Whats the game plan from here? 272 it?
Full rebuild. Fw seal was leaking a bit. Don’t like taking chancesBut there is still a "need" for a 268?
So you replacing them there coked up bearings- or just washing them out real good?

Figures. Just showing how it revs to the moon with fw up and loads up with fw downYer movin picture thingy don't work.
Running more oil without a retune will run leaner, so it should burn cleaner, but hotter, which could bake oil on, but no soot from incomplete burning of gas. That'll be one of them there Champion plugs?
