Still bogs down

I have a stihl that starts and idles but slows and struggles as I throttle up, no load. Gets Smokey. Any ideas on the problem. Carb appears to be adjusted correctly

Could be a million and one things.
But, gasses getting in (blocked air filter) and gasses getting out (mud dauber nests in the muffler) are two immediate thoughts.

What model saw?
Is it new to you and this is your first experience trying to get it going?
Or, have you owned it for years and this just started happening after years of running well?

MS 290, maybe 20 years old. New carb last year. Has been running well. 15 face cords per year. I’ll check the exhaust. Carb and air filter have been checked.
