Can you be more specific? Like what is happening and what isnt?
Does it still manually oil, but not auto oil?

I will have paper service manuals here somewhere- but if you can narrow down specific areas it might be a bit easier to share the information they hold.

It's not oiling manually or automatically.

I drained the tank and large chunks came out.

I removed the manual oiler knob, but its only a plunger for an internal pump.

Id like to pull the automatic oil pump, i removed the cover and clip. But im not sure how to pull the pump out.

I can see the pump, but can't pull it out with needle nose.

There's a threaded hole in it. Wondering if i need to thread a bolt into it so i have something to pry against to pull it out.

Yes, i have removed the clip.

Getting a 5mm bolt tomorrow. Will post pics and updates.
I got a 5mm bolt, screwed it into the pump, and was able to pry it gently with screw driver and the pump came right out.

I think i found my problem. The gears in the pump are ground down and likely not working.

1111 647 0601 1 Pump piston, 1111 640 7111 1 Worm Gear, 9642 003 1440 1 Oil seal 14x20x3.5
Last time U did one, parts were still available, but if you are going in there to repair or replace the pump with a good secondhand unit from an 051 075 076- then I would also replace the shaft O ring 9646 945 0490 and case seal 1111 647 9001

Awesome, thanks. I've figured out a few of those part numbers and have nos parts on order. I'll check out the others. Thanks so much.

Local dealers haven't been much help on this older saw.

Since the pump shaft gears are so worn, i thought i better check the worm gear too. It's not terrible, but I'm replacing it anyway.

One of the drive dogs is broken off.

I never considered the seals. I look into getting those.

So, i but a new worm gear for my oiler, based off the part number from parts book.

New woem gear looks different. Not sure if it will work.

Old on top, new on bottom.

Thoughts whether this is right or not.

It is a genuine Stihl part, or aftermarket?
I believe it will work- have seen ones like your original and ones like your replacement- albeit on 051's which use the same pump and same parts.

Put it this way- with the original parts you had in the saw- it did not pump oil- new parts differ slightly, assemble and check fit, see if it now pumps oil.
