Stihl 041 farm boss oiling way too much.

Stihl 048 farm boss it is oiling way too much, I have turned the oil control knob all the way off and the oil just pours out. When running the saw and watching it you can see it pulsate out of the small hole like it should, just way too much. Thank you for help with this.

How much is too much?
Usual oiler complaints (especially from Stihl) are about too little oil.

Is it slinging and dripping off the chain in normal use?

Temperature? There are 3 grades of bar oil: summer, winter, and all-season. Which one are you using and how hot (or cold) is it?
Then there are differences between brands... I'd check the kind of oil used before looking for something complicated.
I've seen some brands that don't seem to have any tackiness...
