Hello

i bought this model of chainsaw, it’s battery powered one for the back garden.

Einhell 36V Cordless Chainsaw, Power X-Change, 14 Inch (35cm) Oregon Bar and Chain, Saw for Cutting Trees and Wood GP-LC 35/36.

The problem I am having is the chain itself, I have tried everything to fit it to the bar, it either fits around the sprocket or fits around the front part of the bar, it will not fit around both, it’s very tight, this chain was supplied in the box with the chainsaw which I bought off of Amazon.

I am just trying to figure out if it’s me, if I am doing something wrong or if it’s the chain being too small, i mean it was supplied in the box, why supply one too small, it had some oil on it when I opened the pack, a 5 minute job has been hours and I cannot get it on the bar.

I supply some, images showing the issue if someone can please help identify the cause, thank you.

With the clutch cover removed- the wheel that adjusts the chain tension must be moved all the way to - by hand with the chain on the bar. Chain and bar are then fitted to the saw as a unit. The chain drive links must be lined up with the drive slots on the crank and the wheel tensioned in the + direction to remove slack and the clutch cover refitted.

The booklet had drawn diagrams and it was poor instructions I think, in the past products used to get lengthy detailed instructions and now a lot of manufacturers do basic diagrams.
