I have a couple of those on 066's, seem to be okay being gutted internally from the factory and that second "port" in the front cover- might have to try a third exit.

I like the looks of that one, the 288 one I did looks similar.Real simple mod on a cat style 357/359 muffler. Split a pipe and make it long enough to add the opening to the jug side of the cat/baffle.

I like the way your Husky 5-series mufflers turn out. They look stockish but have a nice sound.Real simple mod on a cat style 357/359 muffler. Split a pipe and make it long enough to add the opening to the jug side of the cat/baffle.

That's part of the art, in my opinion; Enhanced function without significantly altered form. Well, externally anyways. Thanks Greg. I've had a few guys ask me why I didn't mod the muffler. I told them to look closer.
Here is how I did the muffler on my ms361 clone. These are more of a bugger than most because you have to open up the can, gut it, and then braze or weld it all back together.
That’s what the first guy did. It was melting the muffler cover. Now the heat exits safely with out melting plastic
I did the same thing to mine. Did you leave some tube in the can as well?

Does the pipe stick out far enough to burn someone easily?
