I recently obtained an old model 80 Jonsereds. Saw fires up, seems to run properly. Should I still use 16:1 gas/oil mix like these old saws did when they were made?

Personally- I wouldn't.
A lot depends on how good you are with a file, how good of a sawyer you are, what you are cutting and how much heat they all generate when compounded together.
Personally I would run and tune it on 40:1, but Husqvarna recommend 33:1 for use in big saws- I am guessing "big" is over 85cc.
16:1 might be good if you cut in Mosquito country- it is getting to be an old saw- but not that old.

Thanks for the advice. I think it's close to 80cc so I suppose I'll run it at 32:1 and it should be alright.
