McCulloch pro mac 650 chain?

Hi guys and gals...

Me old mans got a McCulloch promac 650 in the garage.
It runs like a dream but is long overdue a new chain.
Can anyone advise what type/size would be needed?
The bar measures 19inches from where the bar leaves the machine body to the tip.

I've measures the chain now it's off and it looks to be about 26inches.

Any help or guidance much appreciated

The easiest way for you to get it correct is to take the chain to a saw shop, bang it down on the counter and say I want a new one of these please- and let them do the hard work.
Next easiest is for you to count the drive links on the chain you have ( the spurs that contact the drive sprocket on the underside of the chain) and then decipher the rest from other parts of the saw- the bar tells you 0.050 gauge, then add your drive link count and the pitch that will be stamped on the drive sprocket, but I am willing to bet is 3/8".
To count the drive links- mark one with a sharpie pen and count from there.
Next easiest is to type all the bar markings into google and it should tell you somewhere the size and type of chain required.

If it is overdue a new chain- odds are pretty good it might need a new drive sprocket and the bar dressed up and deburred a little.
Worn bar and sprocket can lessen the life of a new chain, sometimes very quickly.

A worn sprocket & bar will destroy a new chain in less than a tank of fuel brother !

The Pro Mac 650's Bar #93778 is best matched up with a Stihl RS 72 driver 20 " full chisel chain 3/8" pitch & .050 gauge , it will run like a raped ape , I kicked the end out of my cradle running those saws !
