Husqvarna 445 - oil pumping, not sure its getting on bar/chain enough

Just cleaned the oiler port. Gears on the worm gear look fine, and on the oil line. Once together I spun the clutch a bunch, without bar on, and saw oil coming out the oiler hole by bar. Fired saw up and after a minute I did the cardboard test to check for oil. Very fain line, nothing like you see in videos. Then only got slow mist pattern, no line. Took it apart. Fair amount of oil in the housing around clutch, and on the back end of the bar. Checked chain and it is very lightly coated, I think. No obvious drops on teeth.

Chain channel clean, oil holes on the bar wide open, they appear lined up to oiler hole.

Should all models leave that obvious line on the cardboard test?

Lots and lots of variables- viscosity of oil, type of oil, temperature, correct bar tail to fit the particular saw, length of bar, excessive bar rail wear, incorrect or damaged drive links, debris in the tank blocking lines and or pump.
Try running a Stihl- they are real stingy on oil delivery.

BUT, you have a saw reasonably well known for leaking oil.
The ONLY thing holding the oil pump in place and therefore the deal from tank outlet to the pump- is pressure from the steel plate covering the bar pad and surrounding the crankshaft.
If that cover plate gets misshaped by chain derailments or some other form of mechanical misadventure- the seal is lost between oil tank and back of the pump, lots of oil around the back of the chain drive, will drip out the bottom of the saw- but it negates the amount reaching the gallery and into the bar rails.
The cure (usually by the time I see them) is a new worm drive, new oil line from pump to gallery and a new cover plate. You may or may not need all three- but while you are in there- why not? Almost certain you will need the new cover plate though minimum and it should cure your issues.
