Hello everyone.

I’m looking to upgrade my welding gear and could use some advice on choosing a good welding helmet. I mostly work on small fabrication and repair projects, using MIG and occasionally TIG, so I want something comfortable enough for longer sessions.

How important are features like auto-darkening speed, viewing area, adjustable shade levels, and sensitivity controls? I’ve also seen helmets with different lens ratings and battery options, so I’m not sure what really matters for everyday use.

Is it worth spending more on a premium model, or are there affordable helmets that provide excellent protection and visibility? What features do you recommend?

Is it worth spending more on a premium option like Pro Welding Helmets for better protection, comfort, and visibility, or can an affordable helmet provide the same level of performance? What features should I prioritize when choosing one?
thanks in advance for any help
