Best case halves sealant

Looking for recommendations for sealing older echo deere potential saws halves together, where they no longer make gaskets.
Yamahaw grey adhesive?
Aviation High Tach ?

You should still use a gasket if it originally had one. If they aren’t available you can make one from a sheet of gasket material available at auto parts stores

Make your own using the cover off a telephone book, or the side off a cereal box, slap some CRC gasket adhesive on it, or that fancy stuff Loctite make and call it good.

I agree, sealant alone might not give the crankshaft enough clearance possibly. It's not just about sealing it up @monkeymaster
