Hi!
Had no idea square ground was a thing. Got a new saw and chain, and it is clearly ground this way. Milwaukee 2727 16" chain. Can anyone save me some research and tell me the correct set of hand files for this chain, or recommend a better chain for this power head? Thanks!

I would be very hesitant to recommend anyone pick up one of what is the Worlds most expensive chainsaw files and be able to use it to square file Low Profile chain straight off the get go.
Very much doubt the chain in question is square filed/ground- it will just be a factory grind with little to no gullet shape.
Photos will help.

But if you need to sharpen it, just use standard round files and reshape the cutter profile to suit.

Thanks!
I read somewhere that once square ground, you'd remove too much material to reprofile it. Thank you for the insight in this and the pole saw thread!
