272XP or 272K?

I was not sure, I know there were a heap of other reasons for not trying to convert a K to an XP- like retarded coil, governed carb, no chain adjuster, oil delivery in case half, crank not machined for oil pump.......
But thought I had read somewhere the cylinders might also be different, or at least have a different part number.
