And here’s a vid of how they run afterwards. Saw is still new and these are its first cuts so it will gain another 5-10% in speed over stock.

(Not pimping my YouTube, it only exists to store vids for past, present, and future customers. I rarely even comment unless someone asks a question.)

Are you building them for increased chain speed- or torque- or a bit of both?
Or, do you build them to the particular customers requirements?

A stock 500i off the shelf here is near $3K- I don't own one but have run a couple and they are NICE, improved upon- they would be a weapon.

The one in the video is a little bit higher strung. Fast with a little bit less focus on torque. But it will still run 36” 3/8 in our hardwood. I sent one to NZ and he regularly runs a 28 on it.

It could be built for torque as well, which would make it a little bit slower with a short bar but a little bit more forgiving on the dogs

Kevin,

Thats a nice looking saw.

I work with a non profit clearing downed trees from area waterways. I currently have stock 261c with a 20 inch bar, a 462 with a 25" bar and 661 with a 36 inch bar. The 462 is my workhorse due to its power and weight. I did use a 500i for a couple days and it seemed to cut faster and had more power than the 462.

I'm considering getting a new ported 500i as a present to myself over the off season. Ripsaw has a 6 month wait. As I search for placed to get a ported saw, your name has come up many times as a quality porter. Whats your cost and timeframe? Best way to contact you?
