Good morning Amigos. I always enjoy threads that consist of everyday life, from the weekend cutter, the rancher, the professionals in tree work, and saw Lovers. I average cutting about six days a week. My full time job for the Road department, covers 1,500 road miles county wide. I average 3 crews that I run and supervise. One is a youth crew, one is a county wide chipping crew. One is a volunteer fire dept. Through grants the fire dept gets prevailing wage, to cut with me two days a week. Everything from limbing, brushing, downed storm tree removals. Opening roads, to full scale removals. Except we don't have a climber here. Then many of my Saturdays consist of my own tree jobs, as well as time off during week to do these jobs and I have a climber. I am very fortunate to do something I absolutely love, with one thing I have always loved saws.

The work tractor truck, the 7.3 that does. My 500i next to the legendary Stumpshot 572. And some redwoods we fell last summer job.

Trying to get up and motivated. I love my saw love cutting. But some days I'm dragging myself out of bed in the cold. Once the saws start and I'm pieces out a tree, the adrenaline hits a little, and I'm warmed up, then it seems like the day fast forwards and it's worth it. Not just the payment, but being able to help a land owner. But some days it's a struggle:)

I find it is the body that wanes before the mind. I go out there with the same kind of mental mindset I had 30 years ago- but the body complains. :ROFLMAO:

Close to $1,000:00 worth of bar and chain over here!
Roger that, almost here too, if u can get one anymore.CA is expensive. I was amazed I found that bar with a chain chain was Over 3/4 gone. Got it from Craigslist. An honest and decent guy. His ad said 125.00 I thought I read it wrong or a scam. He was out of Laytonville CA did some slabs at a slab shop. Said he had no use for it anymore. Wanted it to go to a home someone could use it. Shipped it to me even and I got it for I think still under 150.00 that was about 6 years ago, maybe 7. Unheard of deal:)
