Stihl 261 Gap

Hello,
I am pretty green to chainsaws (as seen from my story). I have a new stihl 261 and was using it today when it bogged down in a large tree. When I pulled it out I noticed that a gap has formed between the handle/gas tank area and the rest of the saw. Everything seems to work fine but there is this new gap. Did I break something or how do I proceed from here? Please see pictures. Thanks so much!

When you say it "bogged down", was the bar and chain pinched in the cut and you had to wrestle it free?

Yes, that is exactly what happened.

Also follow up - I just took it to the stihl dealership I bought it from and they said it was totally fine. I guess these new saws have springs that absorb vibrations and create these gaps. Sorry for my ignorance.

Nice shop you have- when you wrenched the saw free you have stretched/bent those anti vibration springs and caused the excessive gap to form between case and tank.
