Fresh from China! Hopefully soon I'll be able to get it out together and mill some oak.

I have a 60" mill that I'm about to dust off and get milling with now that the heat is beginning to break. It's all welded Aluminum 1x2 box tube with three 2x2" angle cross members. I have to mount the supports that clamp the bar and add a winch. I have a 72" double ended bar and will run 404 chain. My plan is to test out this new to me 3120 and see if I can mill 48" with a single power head. I have a helper handle to run on the double ended bar. The chain I have is full comp 404 but I might make a custom skip chain.

Sounds like a good setup!

Half tank of fuel lol
066 is faster lol but for these little lodge poles it’s nice

I’m going back & forth on whether to get a 395 or 3120 for my setup…395 I could use for more than milling, 3120 would be more of a dedicated milling head…not sure🤔😆

Really depends on how big your logs are. I use my 2094 for 30”+ logs 395 would do everything I’ve ever milled but we don’t have much for hard wood in NE Washington

Yeah, moving out of Oregon this month, hitting the road for a year to find a sane place to put down new roots…thinking KY, WV, NC, TN or the like, so will probably need one for hardwood😉😁
Smart move

I've been tempted to get a bandsaw mill, but my barn is full of wood I had milled for me. Mostly walnut, some oak and basswood. Now I have to figure out how to sell it.

Actually, I'd like to pick your brains... The bandsaw mill I'd like is north of $2K. That's not going to happen. A chainsaw mill is at least doable, so what should I look for?
