Hi everyone,

I have a Danarm 1-71-SS. After using it for the first time with Stihl bar oil (which is quite thick), I noticed the oil pump is only supplying a very small amount of oil, even with the adjustment screw turned all the way up.

I completely drained the Stihl oil and replaced it with a thinner oil, but the problem is still there even I run the saw several time.

Has anyone experienced this before or have any suggestions on what could be wrong?

Just so happens- I have a pair of the same saws- but have not had any issues with the oiling system of either.
First guess would be a blockage in the system- you can try a thin oil mixed with kerosene or diesel to "wash out" the system, or back blow the system with compressed air and see if either help- both without the bar fitted to see if the Stihl bar is actually aligning with the oil delivery gallery of the Danarm bar plate.
If indeed, the Stihl bar is compatible- are the oil inlet and bar rails clean?

If the power head alone without a bar fitted does not pump oil- you will need to start pulling stuff apart to check for mechanical issues.
But it could be as simple as having to drill a new set of oil holes in the bar tail that line up with the oil gallery of the bar pad on the saw.

As you can see in the last photo- the Danarm bar tail has a different set of holes compared to a Stihl bar and the oil travels from the adjuster slot up into the rail channel that carries the drive links of the chain.

Sorry- was early AM when I read your post- you are NOT running a Stihl bar- just used Stihl oil.
So we are back to possible blockage or mechanical issues.
You could try reverse air through the system, from the bar pad back to the oil tank- clean up the oil tank breather.

I have an exploded parts diagram somewhere.
