Hello All

During my disassembly and inspection of a Sears (Roper) D-44 Saw, I noticed the piston diameter and cylinder bore are 53mm and not the spec 50.8mm. And by all of my findings so far, the saw appears to be all original. Because I have not ever run into this before, I am hoping for any words of knowledge or advice. I am looking for new rings is the case

I know little about these- but the bore should be 2.09 inches? Which converts out to 53.086mm- which in turn is pretty close to 54mm and that is where I would be heading for rings.
Will need to end gap check the rings in the combustion region of the chamber and they may need end filed to get to a happy place- but I would be trying 54mm rings for sure if it were mine and I wanted it going.
