Poulan 1800 Woodsman leaking oil.

Greetings from wonderful Connecticut. This my first of many so bear with me. Last weekend I purchased a Poulan 1800 Woodsman saw and a number of chains at a yard sale. It has good compression 135 psi, good spark and it RUNS. The down side is it leaks bar oil. How can this be fixed or repaired and will modern 50:1 or 40:1 premix work with this motor.
