Hi New guy from Georgia. For some reason I like work on old chainsaw. Hunting down the old parts get some what tiring. Sure hope we can get some new life into this place.

How old is old? What makes and models do you like to work on?
I am in the process of fixing up a new to me Husqvarna 1100CD- thats my era of liking, the big CD's and XP's and anything Jonsered from the 1980's to the 21## series, but I have a few Stihls as well.

I guess up till they made chain brakes mandatory.

Okay, so probably a generation before the saws that make up my stable- or at least the majority of them.
My own older saws come from the era where brakes were an option, mainly the big CC CD's, pretty much all the rest have brakes fitted.
