Hello! I have two stihl MS261c chainsaws at work. Both just got back from the shop where their oiler worms were replaced. (the oiler worm catch peg had previously been broken so that there was nothing sitting in the catch/notch of the clutch drum. I am unsure how long they were broken and still being used before I caught it)

Now I've noticed that the clutch drum seems loose and is wiggly. The crank shaft itself does not wiggle. The needle bearing is not missing any pins. The saws still seem to run and cut normally, but I am concerned because the drum is able to wiggle off of the oiler worm catch, which could cause the bar to stop getting oil at some point while running it (if my thought process is correct).

Has anybody experienced a loose or wiggly clutch drum before? Any recommendations on how to repair?

You have the big washer under the clutch eh?
And it is the correct way up?
Someone has not replaced the washer under the E clip with the thin one where it should perhaps be the thick one? (there are two types)

yes we have all the washers and have double checked their size and accuracy. It seems like the crank shaft itself may be worn down allowing the needle bearing to wiggle along with the clutch drum (19). I have considered trying to find a thicker needle bearing (18)? but one that would still fit in the drum doesn't seem to exist. When I put a new drum on it still wiggles...

Personally, I very much doubt the crank shaft is worn- the needle bearing and clutch drum possibly- but not the crank.
If the arm off the worm gear was broken previously, the notch it sits in could be damaged, worn needle bearing and drum bore will allow excess movement and the same will happen again. Broken oil pump drive means the chain was running oil less and there is likely damage to bar rails, chain drivers and drive spur of the clutch drum- shop should have picked all that up when the worm drive was replaced- but possibly you have a less than average shop?
Photos will help explain a lot.
