I recently got a 2009 Husqvarna 235e chainsaw from a buddy. It was his dads saw who recently passed on. I rebuilt the carb and now I'm replacing the chain. My buddy knows nothing about the chainsaw. I'm not sure what chain to put on it. Stamped on the chain is the number 20. There are 72 links, the gauge is .050 I believe the pitch is .325 Not exactly sure what the length of the chain is ??? Stamped on the bar are the numbers "417" ( I think its a 4), "u 05" , and "06" Do these numbers mean anything to you all ?? Any help with the right size chain will be greatly appreciated !!!

Thank You !

20 on the drive links is Oregon code for .325 pitch- the rest you know- but for my mind it does not add up well running .325 on a 235e and at 72DL's you are out at 18 inch bar- so way overkill on that saw- in my opinion. Might work well for you and how you use it- but not what I would be doing.
I believe most here came out using 3/8LP and a 16 inch bar- with 14 inch being optional. But, that would give you DL counts of 56 or 52 more often than not.
Clutch bell should have stamped on it the pitch- or the drive sprocket.
