Got a new saw today. A tiny 25cc top handle. Remarkably nice saw. The reason I am astounded is that while the quality of name brand saws is outstanding, this saw is pure chinesium. Not quite the cheapest saw on ebay... I spent $10 more to buy from a company that actually claims to stock and sell...

I have an Echo 590 with 24" bar. I ordered the Echo case for it and the box has the proper number for the 24" bar. But the scabbard does not fit. It looks like the 20" model. Is this a fluke and likely to be solved with a return and reorder? Or should I look for another solution?

Here I was thinking I needed a new Peavey. I found out the Peavey company is still in business and making logging tools. Established in 1857. I just thought that was cool enough to share.

Still (or is it Stihl?) have a lot of cutting to do. The first time I ran a saw was in 1966... worked a fire crew for the USFS. Learned to love Red Wing boots, Pulaskis and Homelite saws. Still wearing Red Wings; still using a Pulaski, but the Homelite 410 (which I bought, not liberated) sits...
