    Looking for input about milling

Hello Tyy, Your assessment about Echo is correct but my company is able to stay open because I work on outdoor power equipment and stereo equipment. The stereo equipment business has been going since 2015 and have many repeat customers. Because I am on the Makita website as a service center I...

California bans small gas-powered engines ... including chainsaws wtf

Helly Tyy, I will do what I can with what is available. I have dealt with an arrogant Echo rep on more than one occasion and am surprised about his attitude. American business history is full of arrogant companies that did not adapt and went out of business. I hope that this does not occur here.

Echo CS-590 Timber Wolf vs Husqvarna 460 Rancher

I will sell Makita gas outdoor power equipment as long as it is available and have begun purchasing Efco equipment. I hope that I can make a go with these two companies. Because my company is a service center for both Makita and Efco now, people come to me for repair on various outdoor...

California bans small gas-powered engines ... including chainsaws wtf

I have tried to become a dealer with Husqvarna but they want $250,000.00 in sales each year. Stihl is the same. My company is new and still a startup. Both Stihl and Husqvarna have told me that my company is not large enough. Echo wanted a certain amount of display space and $20,000.00 in...

Echo CS-590 Timber Wolf vs Husqvarna 460 Rancher

Dolmar was mismanaged by Makita to the point that their sales were down by letting their dealer network atrophy and depending on Home Depot. I hope that somebody buys the factory. They made a good product.

    Looking for input about milling

I sell a limited amount of Chinese chainsaws in the larger sizes because the brands that I carry do not offer anything in the sizes that we are talking about. I agree with you on your 36" bars for those saws are good. I was talking about bigger wood than 36" for milling where the two Chinese...

    Looking for input about milling

I work with only reputable Chinese factories and have had not problems when ordering parts. The Chinese 070 products are used all over the world for logging and chainsaw milling. The two that I work with are also ISO9001 factories which all of the major outdoor power companies are as well such...

Echo CS-590 Timber Wolf vs Husqvarna 460 Rancher

I have been promised good support by my distributor for the Efco line. I also have no complaints with Makita's support for my products except that they stopped making gas products. My company did not have enough gross sales for either Husqvarna or Stihl. But there seems to that there are too...

Musk and Besos get their money off the backs of ten year old African boys that dropped out of school to work in unregulated mines. They work all day and turn in their rare earth minerals for five to ten cents on the dollar. All the money for these rare earth elements goes to the billionaires...

    ? On a Makita 7900

Happy customers mean repeat business. I am a new Makita dealer but have had an stereo and tube radio repair shop since 2015. The only way to stay in business is to have fair prices, good work and be straight with customers on whether I can fix something. Sometimes I have sent Stihl and...

    ? On a Makita 7900

I think that you are correct. I sent it to Portland because I did not want to remove the adjustment limiters.

    ? On a Makita 7900

I converted a HD filter model to an EA7900 and sent it to Portland for carburetor calibration. That way the warranty was not effected. As for the sock. If it is one that I stock I will pull the sock off and leave it in the box. If it is one that I am direct shipping I recommend taking the sock...

The New Blue (soon in orange) G395

I have to agree but the NewTop and Holzforma brands only carry up to the 066 Stihl equivalent and a clone of the old Stihl 070. They are good machines but I wanted to try out the G888. I have yet to turn it on. I look for quality ratings, patents, use of the products and so on. I have a...

The New Blue (soon in orange) G395

That could be true of any company. My point here is that some Chinese companies have learned that to survive one must have quality products. The Japanese learned this after fielding their soldiers with shoddy equipment during WWII. They vowed never to do that again. Other Chinese companies...
